Wild swim specialist Angela Jones hosts a 3km Wild Swim 2km Walk up to Nature reserve then Guided Swim back followed by an afternoon 5km swim and 3km Walk back from Sellack Bridge
Join outdoor and wild swim specialist Angela Jones and team on Sunday 6th June & Saturday/Sunday July 10th,11th for a 3km Walk then 3km Swim back to tresseck Campsite, Stop for a relaxing Lunch break then an afternoon 1km Walk and a 5km Swim down to the scenic Salleck bridge and a 3km walk back . Your Walk will take along the beautiful surroundings of the stunning Wye River back up to tressseck Campsite
Angela will lead the swim providing advice on river reading, sharing swim techniques and guidance through the technical sections and giving safety advice to help you enjoy your wild swim.
The event will be fully supported by an event crew and water safety kayaker.
This event is for intermediate swimmers who have open water swim distance experience – it’s not about speed, however you need to be an experienced open water swimmer who is used to spending time in cold water 30 mins -1.45 hrs It can be swum breast stroke or front crawl.
Park and meet at 9.30am at Tresseck campsite (please look out for Angela’s mint green branded van) finish 5pm
Angela Jones has been cold water swimming the river Wye for over 30 years and is highly experienced and qualified.
Participants must be able to walk 2-5km over uneven ground and be an experienced open water swimmers. Wetsuits, Tow floats and suitable water shoes that you can swim in are essential for this event. If you do not have all the equipment please don’t worry as Angela can hire wetsuits and towfloats and you can purchase water shoes and all other equipment at the event.
